UNION, WV – Bruce Edward Ballard, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born October 19, 1958, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Eugene Lee and Cassie Newhouse Ballard. Bruce was a 20 year U.S. Army Veteran and later worked as a switchboard operator for Verizon for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Brandan "Bookie" Ballard; and wife, Tina Marie Ballard. Survivors include two sons, Bruce Ballard, II of Newport News, VA, and Brian Ballard and wife Sara of Rainelle, WV; one grandson, Adrian Ballard; three brothers, Noah Ballard of Richmond, VA, Jeff Ballard of Arkansas, and Matthew Ballard of Richmond, VA; his companion, Pam Fannin; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Mt. Alexander Church in Sarton, WV, with Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until time of services on Wednesday at the church.
