SINKS GROVE, WV --- Brent Stephan Carper, age 23, of Sinks Grove, WV passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness. Born February 5, 1993 at Fairlea, WV he was the son of Stephanie Carper Bland of Ft. Springs, WV. Brent was employed with Kroger's in Fairlea, where he worked in the produce department. He was also a member of the Bethesda Church at White Sulphur Springs, WV.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Garland King; one uncle, Jeffery Coleman; and great aunt, Kay Bostic and great uncle, Andy Carper. In addition to his mother survivors include, his step-father, Jeff Bland of Ft. Springs, WV; his fiancé, Kristi Waddell of Sinks Grove, WV; one son, Zayne Jeffery Carper of the home; maternal grandmother, Brenda Boyce of Ronceverte, WV; paternal grandparents, Harold and Shirley Bland of Sinks Grove, three aunts, Valorie Quick and husband Mike of Lewisburg, WV, Lisa Coleman of Lewisburg, WV, and Jeannie Bland of Sinks Grove, an uncle, Anthony Blankenship of Clarksburg, WV; special cousins, Kim, Karisa, Hunter, Cassie, Michael, Donnie, Kyle, and Jordan; and several other cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 29 2016 at Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Brandon Eggleston officiating. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. Friends may call Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Donnie Moore, Kyle Moore, Hunter Coleman, Travis Kirk, Chris Combs, Tyler Graham, Joe Lynch, and Derick Meadows will serve as Pallbearers.
