GAP MILLS, WV --- Brenda Jean Heagy, age 60, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. Born January 1, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Ellen Wilcox Anderson of Gap Mills, WV and the late Kenneth L. Anderson. Brenda was a 1979 graduate of Union High School. She was a hard worker and owned multiple businesses throughout the community. She enjoyed working on the farm and was an avid animal lover. Brenda was a kindhearted person and had a beautiful soul. She was a cancer survivor and she put up the fight with Hodgkin Lymphoma for several challenging years. She loved the Lord, and she attended the Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Union, WV.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Clark Blankenship of Gap Mills, WV; two sons, Billy Jones of Alderson, WV, and Matthew Heagy of Alderson, WV; one brother, Kenny Anderson of Gap Mills, WV; one sister, Karen Anderson of Minnesota; and one granddaughter, Bailey Rayne Jones of Alderson, WV.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV. In keeping with Brenda's wishes, following the visitation she will be cremated, and her cremains will be buried in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens in Lindside, WV at a later date.
