UNION, WV --- Brandan Elliot (Bookie) Ballard, 24, of Knob's Road Union, WV passed away in his sleep Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home.
Bookie was born at Charleston, WV June 1, 1992 a son of Bruce Edward and Tina Marie Allen Ballard of Knob's Road Union.
Bookie was loved by most people he encountered.
He was a construction worker and attended the Mt. Alexander Church on Knob's Road Union.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Remona Ballard, his paternal grandmother, Cassie Yvonne Ballard and maternal grandparents, Anna Smith and Ronald Allen.
Surviving in addition to his parents are 2 brothers, Bruce Edward Ballard, II and wife, Natalie and their son Adrain Ballard all of Langley AFB Newport News, Va. and Brian Elisha Ballard of Union; and his paternal grandfather, Eugene Ballard of Union. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 2 pm. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with the Rev. Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Alexander Church Cemetery on Knob's Road Union.
