NEW CASTLE, VA --- Bonnie Sue Kendall, age 65, of New Castle, VA, left this life for the one our Lord will give us all if we love and believe in him on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA following a long illness. Born March 17, 1956 in White Sulphur Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Eli and Bonnie Rachel Cayton Cox. She was a seamstress for over forty years. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking and taking great care of them. Bonnie also loved the Lord. She read her Bible often and was a devoted Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wallace, Richard, Daniel, and Joseph Cox; and two sisters, Ellen Dixon and Lillian Shoop. Survivors include, her husband of thirty seven years, Floyd W. "Bill" Kendall, Jr. of New Castle, VA; two brothers, Robert Cox of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Roy Cox and wife Wanda of Gap Mills, WV; one sister, Margaret Ellison of Rich Creek, VA, whom she talked to on the phone with several times every day; special niece and nephew, Loura Fleshman and David Cox and all the children she loved and called her their Nana. Sister-in-law, Cindy Brookman and husband Terry of Catawba, VA; brother-in-law, Patrick Kendall and wife Kathy of New Castle, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two best friends, Melissa Wolfe, and Melissa Martin.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Minister Lee Looney officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery at Big Ridge, VA. The family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
