UNION --- Betty Jo Kirk, 82 of Union, WV passed away Saturday morning, January 21, 2017 at the Springfield Center at Lindside following a long illness.
She was born at Star City, WV, July 20, 1934 a daughter of the late Tony and Eva Cline Raymond.
Mrs. Kirk was a retired employee of the B. F. Goodrich plant at Union with 30 years service, a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church at Union where she had served as church secretary and a member of the choir. She had also been a member of the Union Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer at the Mountain View Middle School and had served as a member of the Board of Directors Monroe Day Care Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Raymond and a sister, Grace Dunlap.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Robert Reed (Bob) Kirk of Union; 2 daughters, Julie Spitz of Union and Stacy Naizer and husband, Joe of Richmond Hill, Ga.; a stepson, Robert Kirk and wife, Kimberly of Beaumont, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Kirk Naizer and wife, Jennifer, Cleo Naizer, Aaron Spitz, Tiffany Kirk and Dalton Kirk and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Union Memorial Baptist Church in Union with the Rev. Mark Shafer and Rev. Bob Ratliff officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery at Union, WV.
