UNION, WV --- Barbara Mae Boyce, age 83, of Union, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV. Born December 12, 1938 at Willow Bend, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alvie Emmett and Naomi Pyne Radford. Barbara was a loving homemaker who cared for her family dearly. In her early years, she worked at the famous Doumar's Barbecue in Norfolk, VA, where they offered curb service and was the home of the original waffle cone invented by Mr. Doumar. Barbara enjoyed going on shopping trips and working her word search books. She attended the Union Lighthouse Church of God in Union, WV, and loved singing in the church choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Boyce; one son, Craig Boyce; two grandsons, Will and Johnathan Boyce; one granddaughter, Jessica Boyce; two brothers, Emmett and Arthur Radford; and one sister, Marie Shacklock; Survivors include three sons, Steve Boyce and wife Shelia of Chesapeake, VA, Allan Boyce and wife Samantha of Virginia Beach, VA, and Stuart Boyce of Union, WV; two brothers, Dewey Radford of Union, WV, and Wayne Radford and wife Loretta of Union, WV; one sister, Brenda Elmore of Union, WV; five grandchildren, Allan, Jennifer, Heather, Katelin, and Brain; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Dropping Lick Church Cemetery on the Willow Bend Road. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
