ROCK CAMP, WV --- Ashlee Brooke Hazelwood, age 33, of Rock Camp, WV, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

She was born October 8, 1989 at Low Moor, VA and she is survived by her mother, Virginia "Ginny" Neel of Sinks Grove, WV; father, Donnie "Dale" Hazelwood of Rock Camp, WV; first cousin, Rebecca Aveline of Union Hall, VA; aunt and uncle, Gary and Cricket Staten of Ronceverte, WV; close friends, Debbie Thomas and Jessi McClung; and several great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and her loving K-9 companion, Tank.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Dale Hazelwood; her paternal grandparents, Donnie "Red" and Lizzie Hazelwood; her maternal grandparents, Cecil A. and Imogene Renolds Boone; and her step-father, Joe Neel.

Ashlee was a graduate of James Monroe High School. She currently worked at the Monroe County Council on Aging in Lindside, WV. She was known for her beautiful smile and cheery personality. She made friends wherever she went. She was loved by many and was just a wonderful person to be around.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and the family will hold a celebration of life memorial to honor Ashlee's memory at a later date.
