WAITEVILLE, WV – Anthony Mark Ellison, age 56, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at his home in Waiteville, WV. Born April 12, 1967, in Mullens, WV, he was the son of the late Vern and Henrietta Garrett Ellison. Anthony was a U.S. Super Squad Marine Veteran having received Meritorious Promotions during his service. He later worked construction as a carpenter, having built many houses in North Carolina. He could build and fix just about anything. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laverne Ellison. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 32 years, Mikell Mull Ellison; one son, Mark Anthony Ellison of Waiteville, WV; two brothers, James Ellison and William Ellison, both of NC; grandchildren, William Junior Ellison, Amanda Stephens, Sara Stephens, and Noah Ellison; and great grandchildren, Caleb Gibson and Zoey Shimp.

A private family burial will be held. A memorial service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Paint Bank Volunteer Fire Department in Paint Bank, VA (15998 Paint Bank Rd, Paint Bank, VA 24131). Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of services on Saturday at the fire department.
